ello, everyone. We are soon, in about 9 days, coming up on our next meeting, and a momentous one it will be. As we always strive to have a club that provides what it’s members desire, we will be changing the way we operate, at least for now. So for our next meeting, remember, we will be moving the venue from the Elk’s Club to the Dambar Restaurant and Steakhouse, which is located at the intersection of Andy Devine Avenue and Stockton Hill Road (where it changes to Hualapai Mountain Road – I know most of you know where it is, but we have a number of members who come from out of the Kingman area). And, the meeting will from now on only cost $3, yep, three bucks, not $13. Lunch is now on your own and it is optional.
For our next meeting, our speaker will be John Salem, the Mayor of Kingman. He will address the issue of the city’s finances, as well as the proposals to raise the sales tax and lower the bar tax. Mayor Salem is always an entertaining speaker, he has addressed our group several times, and he doesn’t shy away from the tough questions.
